Terms and conditions of sale

These terms apply to every order placed on store.chaostech.net. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you agree to them.

1. Who we are

The shop is run by MIKOMI LTD (trading as ChaosTech), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12784226, registered office 4 Woodcock Way, South Elmsall, Pontefract, WF9 2TP, United Kingdom. Email: admin@chaostech.net. Full details are in our Legal notice.

2. Who can buy

We sell to consumers and to businesses. A consumer is an individual buying wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Some sections below apply differently to consumers and businesses; where they do, we say so. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

3. What we sell

We sell digital content only: PrestaShop modules, WordPress plugins and iOS/Android app source code, supplied as downloadable files. Each product page lists the compatible software versions and requirements. Please check them before you buy.

4. Orders and contract

  • Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email and make the download available.
  • Before you pay you can review and correct your order on the order summary page.
  • The contract is concluded in English. We keep a copy of your order and you can see it in your account.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in GBP. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place the order. Payment is taken at the time of order by our payment provider (see Secure payment). If we make an obvious pricing error we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. Delivery

Products are delivered by download link in your account and by email, normally straight after payment. See our Delivery page.

7. Your right to cancel (consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. However, at checkout you will be asked to give your express consent to the download starting straight away and to acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the download begins. Our extra product guarantee still applies. Full details are in our Refunds & cancellation policy.

8. Licence

All software is licensed, not sold. When your payment is received we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product under the licence tier you bought and our Software licence agreement:

  • Single site – use on 1 live domain plus its staging/development copies; 12 months of updates and support.
  • Agency – use on up to 5 live domains (each with staging/development copies); 12 months of updates and support.
  • Lifetime – use on an unlimited number of domains; updates and support for the life of the product.

Unless a product page says otherwise, a purchase is a Single site licence. You may not resell, sublicense, share or publish the source code, or offer it as a stand-alone product, even if modified.

9. Updates and support

Support is given by email at admin@chaostech.net during your support period. We usually reply within 1 working day (Monday to Friday, UK time). Support covers installation questions and fixing faults in our product. It does not cover custom development, third-party modules, themes or hosting problems, although we are happy to quote for that work.

10. Our responsibility for the products (consumers)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or fails, to a price reduction or refund. If faulty digital content damages your device or other digital content and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation.

11. Limitation of liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
  • Consumers: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for business losses: our products are supplied for domestic and private use, and if you use them for a business we are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity.
  • Businesses: to the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, sales, business, data or goodwill, and our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order.
  • You are responsible for keeping backups of your website and data and for testing the software on a staging copy before using it on a live site.

12. Your account

Keep your login details safe. You must give accurate information when you create an account or place an order.

13. Personal data

We use your personal data as described in our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.

14. Complaints

If you are unhappy, email admin@chaostech.net and we will try to resolve it quickly.

15. General

  • We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one shown when you placed it.
  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation; you may transfer yours only with our written consent.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
