Software licence agreement (EULA)
This agreement is between you (the "Licensee") and MIKOMI LTD, trading as ChaosTech, company number 12784226, registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). It applies to every PrestaShop module, WordPress plugin, app source code package and related files and documentation you obtain from store.chaostech.net (the "Software"). By downloading, installing or using the Software you accept this agreement.
1. Licence grant
The Software is licensed, not sold. Once we receive full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to install, use and modify the Software in line with the licence tier you bought:
- Single site – 1 live (production) domain, plus staging, test and development copies of that site that are not publicly used for trading. Includes 12 months of updates and email support from the purchase date.
- Agency – up to 5 live domains, each with staging/development copies. Includes 12 months of updates and email support.
- Lifetime – an unlimited number of domains owned or managed by you. Includes updates and email support for as long as we continue to develop the product.
If no tier is stated on your order, the licence is a Single site licence. For app source code, "domain" means one published app (one bundle ID / application ID per platform) unless the product page states otherwise.
2. Client work
You may install the Software on a website or app you build for a client, as long as each live installation is covered by a licence. You may move a Single site licence to a different domain if you stop using it on the old one.
3. Restrictions
You must not:
- resell, sublicense, rent, lend, share, give away or publish the Software or its source code, in original or modified form;
- offer the Software, or a product substantially based on it, as a stand-alone product, module, plugin, theme, template or app on any marketplace or website;
- use the Software on more live domains or apps than your licence allows;
- remove copyright notices from the source code.
4. Ownership
MIKOMI LTD (or its licensors) keeps all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Software. Third-party libraries included in the Software stay under their own open-source licences, which are listed in the package where applicable.
5. Updates and support
During your update period you may download new versions from your account. Support is provided by email at admin@chaostech.net. After the update period ends the Software keeps working and your licence to use the last version you received continues.
6. Your responsibilities
Keep backups and test the Software on a staging copy before using it on a live site. Make sure your server meets the requirements listed on the product page.
7. Warranty and liability
Your statutory rights, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you are a consumer, are not affected. Our liability is otherwise limited as set out in our Terms and conditions.
8. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you seriously breach it (for example by reselling or publishing the source code). You must then stop using and delete the Software. A refund under our Refunds & cancellation policy also ends the licence for that order.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
