Refunds & cancellation policy

This policy explains your rights when you buy digital products (downloadable software) from ChaosTech, a brand of MIKOMI LTD. It does not affect your statutory rights.

1. Your 14-day right to cancel and when it ends

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers can usually cancel an online purchase within 14 days. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right ends once the download has started, if before it starts you have:

given your express consent to the supply starting during the 14-day cancellation period, and
acknowledged that you will lose your right to cancel once the download begins.

You give this consent and acknowledgement at checkout by ticking the box to accept our Terms and conditions, and we confirm it in your order confirmation email. If you have not yet downloaded the product, you can still cancel within 14 days of your order and get a full refund: just email us.

2. Our "it works or your money back" guarantee

Even after you have downloaded a product, we will give you a full refund if:

the product does not work as described on a supported setup (the platform, PHP and other versions listed on the product page), and
you report the problem to admin@chaostech.net with enough detail for us to reproduce it (and, where needed, temporary access to a test copy of your site), and
we cannot fix it within 14 days of your report.

The guarantee does not cover conflicts caused by unsupported versions, heavily modified code, third-party modules or themes, hosting limits, or simply changing your mind after downloading.

3. Faulty digital content: your legal rights

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty you are entitled to a repair or a replacement; if we cannot repair or replace it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you can get some or all of your money back. Our guarantee above is in addition to these rights.

4. How to ask for a refund

Email admin@chaostech.net with your order reference and a short description. We will confirm receipt, usually within 1 working day.

5. How refunds are paid

We refund using the same payment method you used, without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of agreeing the refund. When a refund is given, the licence for that order ends and you must delete the software.

6. Business customers

The statutory cancellation rights above apply to consumers. Business customers still benefit from our guarantee in section 2.
